Speaker:
As the industrial sector rapidly adopts digitalization, securing systems that support manufacturing and industrial operations has become a critical priority. This presentation will provide a brief overview of the evolving threat landscape (cyber and geopolitical) and cybersecurity challenges specific to industrial environments and the machinery that operates within these environments. These challenges include the integration of Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) into cyber-physical systems, the risks posed by increased connectivity as use of Internet of Things (IoT) devices become routine, the expanding supply chain, and endurance of legacy control systems.
Key strategies will be outlined for safeguarding these systems, emphasizing the adoption of the Zero Trust model, the implementation of network segmentation, the necessity for resiliency in systems and processes and the critical need for threat and vulnerability management (TVM) within the immediate and extended (supply chain) systems.
