About the recognition
The Avasant report examines how leading service providers deliver digital services across the Aerospace & Defense value chain — product engineering and design, manufacturing, supply chain and logistics, aftermarket, and business operations — spanning both the defense and commercial sub-industries. The report evaluated 57 service providers, and recognized 21 that, in Avasant's words, "brought the most value to the market over the past 12 months." Each provider was assessed across two dimensions — practice maturity and future proofing — and placed in one of five categories: leaders, innovators, disruptors, challengers, and tech pioneers. DXC Technology was named a Leader.
Avasant notes that service providers are "modernizing digital services by connecting engineering, manufacturing, and sustainment through digital thread and model-based approaches, while improving factory output and fleet availability using AI and automation," and are increasingly "combining services with platforms and industry-specific IP, as enterprises evaluate service providers alongside technology vendors."
