Suntory Oceania builds a digital foundation for innovation

Growth at scale demands an advanced digital foundation.

As Suntory Oceania transformed into a multi-beverage organisation, it needed a modern digital foundation to support advanced manufacturing, streamlined supply chain operations and exceptional customer experiences. Working with DXC, the business implemented an integrated SAP platform connecting operations, production, planning and customer engagement. Establishing real-time visibility, seamless coordination and a scalable platform for future growth.

“Working alongside DXC was fantastic. They brought deep product knowledge of SAP to the table and architect-level resources that really understood manufacturing. They could translate our business requirements into technical solutions, and they acted as a genuine extension of our team.”

Building a digital foundation for growth

Suntory Oceania is one of the largest multi-beverage manufacturers in Australia and New Zealand, with more than 1,500 employees, two manufacturing sites, five distribution centres, and a portfolio of more than 40 market-leading brands.

The business officially launched in July 2025, alongside the opening of its carbon-neutral manufacturing and distribution facility at Swanbank, Queensland. The facility gave Suntory Oceania end-to-end control of its supply chain for the first time, creating a strong foundation for future growth and innovation.

Creating a world-class digital manufacturing operation

Suntory’s Queensland site represents the single largest FMCG investment into Australia in the past decade. The carbon-neutral site brings together manufacturing, warehousing and distribution in a single location and is equipped with advanced automation technology throughout its operations.

A partnership built on innovation and execution

Suntory partnered with DXC to implement an integrated SAP-based platform across manufacturing, warehousing, supply chain planning and customer operations. Together, the program team integrated enterprise and operational systems across the Swanbank facility, supporting a connected and highly automated operating model.

The platform was delivered in time for the launch of Suntory Oceania in July 2025 and underpinned the transition to an end-to-end supply chain operated by the business. In its first year, the facility produced more than 252 million cans and bottles, increased production by 36 per cent and launched 21 new products.

What changed when everything became connected

  • Faster, more accurate operations: Integrated planning, warehousing and manufacturing systems provide real-time visibility across the supply chain, improving responsiveness and operational coordination.
  • Greater production capability: The Swanbank facility produced more than 252 million cans and bottles in its first year and increased production by 36%, creating significant capacity to support future growth.
  • Enhanced customer outcomes: Improved inventory visibility, streamlined distribution processes and connected operations have strengthened service delivery across Australia and New Zealand.
  • A scalable platform for the future: A modern SAP-based digital foundation enables Suntory to integrate new capabilities, support business expansion and continuously improve operations as market demands evolve.

Positioned for what's next

With the digital and operational foundations now in place, Suntory Oceania is well positioned to support continued growth. The integrated platform provides a consistent way of managing manufacturing, supply chain and customer operations across the business, while creating the flexibility to adapt to future business needs.
