Vaillant is partnering with DXC Technology to run its IT server infrastructure in a managed virtual private cloud and develop new digital services around its products.
Managing cloud infrastructure is complicated. Most organizations have public clouds scattered across multiple vendors. Each one works differently, which means your team context-switches between different tools, security rules and procedures. On top of that, there are monthly cost surprises; compliance headaches abound; performance issues may arise when sharing infrastructure with other customers, and more.
DXC Private Cloud+ solves all of that. Our managed private cloud platform is built for organizations that need predictable pricing and the speed and flexibility of public cloud, without giving up control over where their data lives. Powered by Dell Technologies infrastructure, and operated by DXC OASIS, our managed private cloud service is VMware Cloud Foundation-based, with DXC-managed operations, security, automation and hybrid cloud integrations across three editions: Core (multi-tenant, pay-as-you-go), Dedicated (single-tenant, fully customizable) and Government (operated by domestically cleared personnel).
The platform's private cloud infrastructure management covers provisioning, security, patching, monitoring and lifecycle management, reducing operational overhead for IT teams. As a managed private cloud provider, DXC backs this with 610,000+ virtual servers under management, a 99.8 percent migration success rate and 6,000+ certified VMware professionals operating from 54 countries.

Most cloud vendors resell someone else's product; DXC built Private Cloud+ from the ground up, partnering with Dell for private cloud infrastructure. We own the platform and can customize, fix and innovate without waiting for anyone's approval. We're running private cloud at enterprise scale — 600,000+ virtual servers for 200+ enterprise customers across financial services, healthcare, defense, government, manufacturing and energy — and delivering real results: 99.8% migration success and 99.95% operational uptime. From assessment through implementation and continuous optimization, we're responsible for your results, not just your SLA.
DXC helps BCM companies manage multicloud the correct way, through precision-guided modernization to manage existing on-premises investments while identifying the best use of public and private cloud to achieve business objectives.
In this report assessing 29 vendors for their ability to offer ongoing management services for private and hybrid clouds and traditional data center infrastructure and platforms, DXC Technology was one of the few to be identified as a Leader in almost all geographies.
Cloud migration should not be viewed solely as a technical task; doing so reduces it to a basic infrastructure upgrade. Instead, cloud adoption needs to be driven by business and operating model considerations. Effective business cases emphasize revenue growth, faster time-to-market, operational efficiency and measurable outcomes.
DXC Private Cloud+ is a fully managed private cloud platform that gives enterprises the agility of public cloud while keeping data under their direct control. The platform runs on VMware Cloud Foundation and comes in three editions. Core is a multi-tenant, pay-as-you-go option hosted in DXC data centers across the US, UK, Germany and France. Dedicated is a single-tenant environment that can be deployed in DXC facilities, customer premises, colocation sites or edge locations. Government adds domestically cleared operators and strict data sovereignty controls for regulated organizations.
DXC Private Cloud+ uses a consumption-based billing model where organizations pay only for the resources they use, with no egress or ingress charges. For IaaS workloads, the platform runs 10 to 20 percent cheaper than comparable public cloud hosting. Rate-card-based monthly billing replaces the unpredictable consumption spikes that make public cloud budgets unreliable. Organizations also avoid upfront capital costs for hardware and are insulated from hardware and hypervisor supply chain price increases, because DXC owns and maintains the infrastructure.
Scale, operational intelligence and deployment flexibility. DXC manages more than 700,000 VMware systems globally with 27,000+ skilled resources across its partner ecosystem. That depth means faster incident resolution and proven runbooks rather than learning on the job. The DXC OASIS and Agentic Operations layer automate IT operations across four maturity levels, from advisory through fully autonomous, reducing time-to-value by up to 70 percent. And unlike providers locked to their own data centers, Private Cloud+ deploys in DXC facilities, customer premises, colocation sites or edge locations. ISG, Nelson Hall and Everest Group have each recognized DXC as a leader in private cloud and infrastructure services.
The platform holds SOC1/2 Type 2, ISO 27001 and ISAE3402 certifications as standard across all editions. Third-party penetration testing runs on a regular schedule. Core and Dedicated include dual data center resiliency, endpoint protection, vulnerability scanning and distributed firewall capabilities. The Government edition goes further with micro-segmentation, advanced backup and operations staffed exclusively by domestically cleared personnel. For organizations subject to EUCS, NIS2 or sector-specific mandates, Private Cloud+ Government provides data residency guarantees in the US, UK, Germany and France. Data stays where regulations require it. DXC does not move workloads across jurisdictions without explicit customer approval, and SLA commitments range from 99.0 to 99.9 percent availability depending on edition.
Several forces are driving workload repatriation. Public cloud bills that exceeded forecasts are the most common trigger. Hardware and hypervisor supply chain price hikes have added pressure. Regulatory changes, particularly EUCS in Europe and NIS2 across EU member states, now require tighter control over where data resides and who operates the infrastructure. VMware licensing changes following the Broadcom acquisition have also forced organizations to rethink their infrastructure strategy. DXC Private Cloud+ addresses these drivers directly. The consumption-based model delivers public cloud economics without the sovereignty trade-offs.
Private Cloud+ Dedicated includes Container as a Service through VMware Tanzu and VKS, running alongside traditional virtual machines on the same platform. Organizations do not need separate infrastructure for containerized and legacy workloads. Infrastructure as Code enables automated provisioning for IaaS, PaaS and CaaS from a single blueprint-based catalog. DevSecOps teams get CI/CD pipeline integration and a self-service portal through ServiceNow for provisioning without raising tickets. The platform supports bare-metal compute for workloads that need direct hardware access, including GPU-intensive AI applications. All of this sits on VMware Cloud Foundation, so existing VMware skills and tooling carry over without retraining.
Deployment speed depends on the edition. Core environments go live in days to weeks because the infrastructure is pre-configured and multi-tenant. Organizations select their resource allocation, DXC provisions the environment, and workloads start migrating. Dedicated deployments take weeks to months since they involve custom architecture, single-tenant infrastructure and potentially installation at customer premises or colocation sites. Government timelines are driven by compliance approvals and security clearance processes. All editions use blueprint-based provisioning through VMware Aria Automation to keep deployment repeatable and consistent. The three-phase engagement model covers commercials, discovery and implementation. Planning runs in parallel with technical preparation, compressing the overall schedule.
