DXC Delivers New Digital Minerals and Energy Regulation System for South Australian Department for Energy and Mining

Modern digital platform sets the foundation to support growth, innovation and future AI-enabled regulatory services for the State

ADELAIDE, South Australia, October 6, 2026 – DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC), a leading enterprise technology and innovation partner, today announced it has completed the delivery of the Minerals and Energy Regulation System (MERS) which is helping to modernise the regulation of South Australia’s mineral resources sector.

DXC delivered MERS for the Department for Energy and Mining (DEM) as an integrated digital regulatory platform built on Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Azure to bring together licensing, assessments, compliance, royalties, financial management and reporting capabilities. With digital workflows, online services and improved access to information, the solution establishes a scalable foundation for future regulatory innovation and the continued digitisation of services.

This project represents a significant milestone in the modernisation of mining and exploration regulation in South Australia. MERS provides the industry with a more transparent, efficient and user-friendly experience, helping existing and prospective explorers make informed decisions about investing in our State. As the State continues to unlock opportunities in copper, critical minerals and magnetite iron ore, MERS provides the digital foundation to support growth, innovation and future AI-enabled regulatory services.
