The Credit One Charleston Open was recognized as the WTA 500 Tournament of the Year for the 2022 and 2023 seasons. The award, which comes from the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) and is voted upon by the players, recognizes excellence in staff and organization, passionate fans, and a tournament’s wider dedication to tennis and its athletes. The tournament has been a pioneer in women’s professional sports since 1973, paving the path for female tennis players to receive equal recognition, respect and pay in the sport.

DXC Technology Coin Toss honors performance-driven women leaders

DXC is sponsoring the coin toss at the Credit One Charleston Open, in conjunction with its exclusive technology partnership, to celebrate performance-driven women in leadership. Included on the roster to perform the coin toss at the start of each major stadium match are women who exemplify performance-driven leadership and represent DXC, DXC customers or are associated with the tournament.

Meeting Street Schools

Meeting Street Schools, a network of four South Carolina schools dedicated to delivering life-changing education to children, is the nonprofit partner for the Credit One Charleston Open. This partnership not only celebrates excellence and commitment to education but also provides Meeting Street Schools students with opportunities to interact with international tennis stars, enhancing their learning experiences and broadening their worldviews.

Tournament

The nine-day Credit One Charleston Open showcases a singles draw of 48 players, a qualifying draw of 28 players and a doubles draw of 16 players. The event traditionally hosts more than 90,000 attendees on Daniel Island.
