Avasant has named DXC Technology a Leader in its RadarView™ vendor evaluation for Aerospace and Defense Digital Services 2024. The report assesses the digital services offerings of 18 Aerospace and Defense service providers that support the industry in digital transformation. Key areas evaluated included practice maturity, investments and innovation, and partner ecosystem.
"Rising cyber threats and geopolitical tensions are driving Aerospace and Defense (A&D) companies to prioritize cybersecurity and advanced defense technologies," according to Avasant. "DXC Technology is strongly aligned with the A&D sector’s focus on addressing rising cyber threats. It delivers secure IT infrastructures through hybrid multicloud transformations by leveraging platforms such as Azure and AWS, ensuring compliance with critical frameworks such as the CMMC." With International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)-compliant centers, DXC provides mission-critical programs tailored to the unique needs of defense organizations, Avasant says.
Avasant also points to DXC's investments in AI-driven innovations. DXC has developed 25 A&D AI use cases, including predictive maintenance for aircrafts and shipyards, and virtual training solutions, which enhance operational resilience and workforce readiness. "These initiatives underscore DXC Technology’s commitment to advancing cybersecurity and defense technologies in the A&D sector, thereby securing its position as a Leader in Avasant’s Aerospace and Defense Digital Services 2024 RadarView."
Other A&D AI use cases developed by DXC relate to supply chain optimization, quality control and operational visibility. In collaboratation with cloud providers such as Microsoft and AWS, DXC also builds IoT-enabled smart factory solutions. The DXC SPARK platform, developed with AWS, drives Industry 4.0 initiatives and digital transformation, Avasant notes.
