Insurtech competition showcases latest innovations from late-stage insurance startups and scaleups with market-ready solutions
SYDNEY, Australia, 2 December 2025 - DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC), a Fortune 500 global technology services provider, today announced the winners of the 2025 DXC Invitational, an insurtech competition designed to uncover the latest innovations relevant to the insurance industry.
DXC Invitational focusses on identifying late-stage startups and scaleups with market-ready solutions that improve customer experience, increase efficiency, and support compliance across the distribution value chain and life cycle of a policy - from prevention to claims management.
“Now in its eighth year, this competition continues to serve as a valuable launchpad for insurtechs. We are delighted to announce this year’s winners and are confident their solutions will contribute meaningfully to tackling some of the industry’s most pressing challenges. DXC has had great success with participants from previous competitions, including Daisee, who continue to collaborate with DXC as we leverage their solutions within our business and more broadly with our customers, and help them gain access to new markets across the globe,” said Michael Neary, Regional General Manager, Insurance Software & BPS, Australia and New Zealand at DXC Technology.
Amongst the industry judges for the 2025 DXC Invitational were: Meg Tolley, Head of Enablement, WorkSafe Victoria; Chris Crocker, Chief Information Officer, Australia & Pacific Region, Lockton; David Gillespie, Chief Technology Officer, Steadfast; Saskia Nicholls, Chief Operating Officer, Marsh Advisory; Tom Limb, General Manager, Service & Operations Group, TAC and Anna Cranney, Partnership Manager, Insurtech Australia.
The 2025 DXC Invitational winners include:
Category 1 (Improving the insurance value chain): anya - an award-winning, NHS-trusted app leveraging proprietary AI and leading healthcare experts to deliver 24/7 support and companionship across all stages of women’s health including fertility, pregnancy, parenting, menopause, and menstrual health - helping 7.2 million people in the UK and Australia.
Category 2 (API integration into DXC insurance software suite): PolicyCheck - an AI Desk for insurance brokers that helps explain, advise and sell insurance policies.
Category 3 (Enhancing workers' compensation, self-insurance and public liability): MEDirect – platform that transforms slow, inconsistent medicolegal opinions into fast, defensible, and structured evidence for the personal injury sector - reducing delays, disputes, and costs, while turning the medicolegal bottleneck into an efficiency lever.
For the third year running, DXC collaborated with Insurtech Australia and UTS Startups to select insurtech companies with the solutions that make the most impact across the industry.
Commenting on the results, Simone Dossetor, CEO, Insurtech Australia said, “We’re proud to see such a diverse range of solutions addressing real-world challenges and improving outcomes for customers. Insurtech Australia values opportunities like this to champion collaboration and support the growth of innovative startups across the industry.”
“The quality of entries in the DXC Invitational was exceptional. DXC is paving the way with an outstanding initiative that bridges the gap between large corporates and emerging startups and scaleups—bringing innovation to life through meaningful collaboration,” Murray Hurps, Director of Entrepreneurship, University of Technology Sydney.
