We look forward to working with you. DXC IT is committed to providing you with the tools and resources you need to optimize your productivity and your overall satisfaction.

Please have your DXC credentials (email + temporary access pass) from the instructions emailed by your manager.

If you haven’t received these details by your first day on the job, contact your manager or your recruiter to request them.

You will also need:

  1. List of people to call or contact for help.

  • Ask your recruiter or your manager for your manager’s email and phone number.

  • Ask for a possible onboarding buddy or team colleague provided by manager/recruiter.

On your first day at DXC:

Set up your DXC credentials:

1. Please collect the Temporary Access Pass (TAP) from your manager, which is needed for the setup process. Please note the TAP is for one-time use only.

2. It is highly advisable to set up the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile iOS | Android before setting up your new PC, as this acts as a secondary authentication mechanism, in case you forget your PIN or Password.

Steps to set up Microsoft Authenticator:

a. Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device and tap the + icon at the top right.

b. Tap Work or School Account and select Sign in.

c. Enter your @dxc.com email address, click Next.

d. Enter the TAP code received from your manager, then sign in, click Continue, then Done. If you experience issues with the TAP code, contact the help desk.

NOTE: If you are using a Mac, a personal device or a device provided by a client, or you are a Luxoft colleague, the Microsoft Authenticator app is your solution for secure authentication. You do not have the option to use Windows Hello.

3. Set up your PC:

a. Select the appropriate regional setting and click Yes.

b. Select your preferred keyboard layout and click Yes.

c. Click add layout to specify a second keyboard layout, or click Skip

d. Connect to your Wi-Fi network. If you are in a DXC office, use the DXC Guest wireless.

e. At the login screen, enter your @dxc.com email. You will now be prompted to complete MFA authentication through the Microsoft Authenticator app. Keep your mobile device nearby during the PC setup. If you have not set up Microsoft Authenticator, please use the TAP here.

f.  Set up a Windows Hello PIN. This is mandatory.

i. Open Settings

ii. Under Accounts, choose Sign-in options, then click PIN (Windows Hello), then set up.

Note: For UK Secure Accounts (UKSA) a six-digit encryption PIN is required

Once you log in to the PC and authentication is complete, you are ready to begin using DXC tools. Please be patient. Some systems could take longer to sync. If the PC reboots, please use Windows Hello PIN to sign in.

4. Set up additional Multifactor Authentication (MFA):

a. Set up Fingerprint and facial recognition (if your PC is compatible). These can be used as an alternative login method to your PC:

i. Open Settings.

ii. Under Accounts, go to Sign-in options and click Fingerprint or Facial Recognition and follow the prompts.

iii. Restart your PC and sign in using Windows Hello. You may have to click Sign-In options to see the Windows Hello login option.

5. Set up a permanent password:

a. Once you have signed into your PC with Windows Hello, open myaccount.microsoft.com.

NOTE: When prompted to enter the credentials, please click on “Sign in options” and select ” Face, Fingerprint, PIN” option to authenticate using your Windows Hello PIN.

b. On the Security info tile, click UPDATE INFO

c. Click Change password and follow the prompts

6. Open Outlook and the pre-installed Microsoft Teams app. In Teams find:

a. DXC Hub (in the left menu) is a great launching point to help you navigate DXC.

b. DXC EVA Chat on Teams is for DXC employee-related topics: HR, IT, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Finance and Procurement. EVA (Everyone’s Virtual Assistant) can address DXC employee topics only.

c. You can add apps to the left navigation menu in Teams.

7. Learn about DXC Technology

8. Learn about Microsoft Teams.
