Why should I attend DXC Connect Insurance Executive Forum?

Who will attend the forum?

We have designed this to be an invitation-only exclusive meeting of top executives at companies that use DXC’s software and business process services. Invitees include C-level executives, vice presidents and high-level directors from the global Life and Wealth, Property and Casualty, Reinsurance, Broking, Commercial and Specialty, and Self-insured communities.

How does this forum differ from past DXC or CSC insurance conferences? 

Events like this have a long heritage at DXC, and we are excited to bring our community together in person again. For our 2025 event, we look forward to hosting customers across all product lines and throughout the region. The forum is designed to foster connections among an intimate group of insurance leaders. We’ll discuss industry trends, share updates and gather input about how DXC can deliver greater value as we shape our insurance business strategy, along with our plans for DXC software and business process services. ACCOMMODATIONS AND TRANSPORTATION

  

When and where does the forum take place?

DXC Connect Insurance Executive Forum will take place March 4 – 6, 2025, at The Charleston Place in Charleston, South Carolina.

How can I reserve a hotel room?

You can reserve a hotel room during the registration process. The standard room rate is US$405 per night, and the premier king room is US$500 per night, plus applicable taxes and fees. To guarantee accommodations, please reserve your hotel room by January 29, 2025. Reservations made after January 29 are not guaranteed at the negotiated executive forum room rate.

Please make sure to reference this event to take advantage of group rates. A first night's deposit must be guaranteed via a major credit card. The deposit will be forfeited if the reservation is canceled less than 7 days prior to arrival. A failure to cancel the reservation prior to day of arrival will result in a cancellation fee for the full length of stay.

Can I take advantage of reserved room blocks/pricing if I want to extend my trip a few days before or after the forum?

The negotiated DXC group rate is valid for 3 days before and after the program dates of March 4 – 6, 2025. However, rooms are subject to availability and are expected to sell out quickly.

What time is check-in and check-out at The Charleston Place?

  • Check-in: 4:00 p.m. | If you arrive early, you are welcome to enjoy the hotel’s amenities until your room becomes available. 
  • Check-out: Noon | After checking out of your room, feel free to continue enjoying the hotel’s amenities and experiences for the remainder of the day.

Will transportation be provided between the airport and the hotel?

Transportation between the airport and hotel is not provided by DXC.

Private airport transfers can be scheduled with the hotel directly. Requests within 48 hours of arrival are subject to availability as confirmed by The Charleston Place.

Charleston International Airport (CHS) is in North Charleston, approximately 11 miles (15 minutes) from The Charleston Place in historic downtown Charleston. Taxis, Uber and Lyft are readily available outside the airport and require no advance reservations. 

Will transportation be provided between offsite activities and the hotel?

All offsite activities, including dinners, will take place within walking distance of the hotel. Transportation will be provided in the event of inclement weather and for those who request additional assistance during the registration process.

  


REGISTRATION, FEES AND GUESTS 

  

What are the registration fees for the event?

The registration fee depends on how early you register — the earlier, the better! 

  • Early-bird registration | US$995 (October 1, 2024 – January 10, 2025) 
  • Regular registration | US$1,295 (January 11, 2025 – March 6, 2025) 

What types of payment do you accept for registration?

We accept payment only by credit card via our event registration site. Your forum badge can be printed onsite only if payment has been received.

What is included in the registration fee?

The registration fee for a full executive forum pass entitles you to the following:

  • Access to welcome reception and evening events
  • Access to general sessions, roundtable discussions and breakout sessions
  • Breakfast, lunch, dinner and all break refreshments each day 

Is there a deadline for registration?

No. You can register online through the last day of the executive forum, unless we have reached capacity. To take advantage of the early-bird rate, be sure to register by January 10, 2025. 

May I bring a guest to the event? If so, what does a guest pass include? 

Yes. The guest pass includes all meals and evening events and is priced at US$250. To attend general sessions, breakouts or roundtables, a guest will need to purchase the full registration pass. 

Whom do I contact for assistance with registration?

Do you offer single-day passes or rates?

There are no single-day or partial registration rates.

Do you have a discounted group rate?

No, we do not offer a discounted group registration rate as part of the executive forum. For additional questions, please reach out to your account executive. 

  


MEALS AND SERVICES

  

Are special dietary requirements accommodated?

Yes. If you have any special dietary requests, please inform us during the registration process and we will be sure to accommodate your request. If a special need or request arises onsite at the forum, please find a DXC staff member to assist you.

Whom do I contact for requesting auxiliary aids and services?

There is a section on the executive forum registration form for accessibility requirements. Please indicate your requirements in this section while registering, or email us. A member of our team will contact you to discuss your specific requirements.

  


CANCELLATION

  

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made by January 10, 2025, will be refunded the paid registration fee in full. Cancellations made after January 10, 2025, will be refunded the paid registration fee, minus US$250. All DXC Connect Insurance Executive Forum cancellations must be sent in writing to DXCConnectEvents@dxc.com.

If the forum is canceled, DXC will refund the full registration fee within 90 days of cancellation. DXC is not responsible for airfare, hotel or other costs. 

  


AT THE FORUM 

  

What is the recommended attire for the forum?

Business casual attire is recommended. The meeting rooms tend to be cool, so be sure to pack a light jacket or sweater.

What is the weather like in Charleston in March?

Average temperatures in Charleston in mid-March range from a high of 66°F (19°C) to a low of 53°F (11°C).

Will I need a badge to get in?

Yes, a badge is required for entry into the forum and evening receptions and dinners and should be worn at all times. Please pick up your badge at the registration desk during open registration hours. For security purposes, be prepared to show identification. If you lose your badge, you may show photo identification and have your badge reprinted at a registration check-in desk.

Whom do I contact in case of an emergency?

In case of an emergency, please call 911. 

Whom do I contact for special needs?

If a special need or request arises onsite at the forum, please find a DXC staff member or hotel staff member to assist you. Prior to the executive forum, please contact the forum organizers at DXCConnectEvents@dxc.com.

Can I get copies of the material presented?

Yes, some presentations will be posted following the executive forum. Please note that only those sessions that are pre-approved for publication will be made available online.

Will you be sending out an attendee list?

Due to privacy concerns and to comply with GDPR, we are unable to share an attendee list. We know that connecting is a key reason for attending. That is why we have a private event networking app. Using filters, you may discover all registered attendees (whether they have logged in or not).

COVID-19 reminders

We urge you to exercise caution and adhere to event safety guidelines, as well as those of local authorities and DXC that are in effect at the time of the event. Please continue to maintain good personal hygiene. In particular, wash hands frequently; avoid touching your mouth, nose and eyes; practice social distancing; and follow mask protocols as appropriate.

As a reminder, if you experience COVID-19 symptoms in line with CDC guidance, such as fever, chills, cough or shortness of breath (note this is not a comprehensive list of symptoms), or if you test positive for COVID-19, contact the nearest medical facility for advice from a healthcare professional, and please notify the onsite event organizer.
