Students in Western Australia set to gain hands-on industry experience in customer delivery and innovation
PERTH, Australia, 6 November 2025 - DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC), a leading Fortune 500 global technology services provider, today announced a strategic partnership with Murdoch University to launch a new internship program aimed at equipping Western Australian undergraduates with practical, job-ready skills to meet growing workforce demand driven by major infrastructure projects currently underway in Western Australia across mining, government, utilities, travel and transport.
As part of the partnership, students from Murdoch University will work directly with industry professionals at DXC and its customers on real engagements, gaining insights that extend beyond the classroom. This timely collaboration will provide undergraduates with hands-on industry experience while they earn credits toward completing their studies.
“This initiative with Murdoch University aims to deliver broader benefits to the Western Australian economy by strengthening its pipeline of skilled graduates. By aligning academic learning with industry needs, this program will help boost local employment outcomes and ensure graduates are well-prepared to meet workforce demands,” said Seelan Nayagam, President, Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa, DXC Technology.
Recognised as one of Australia’s leading research institutions, Murdoch University delivers undergraduate and postgraduate programs to more than 22,000 students across campuses in Australia, Singapore and Dubai.
“Murdoch University’s focus is on producing the next generation of IT professionals that are industry-ready. We achieve this by working with industry and research partners to identify the skills needed in the future. All students can develop these skills in practical units, internships and projects, including real-world experiences and helping to solve complex world problems as well as theoretical work. Our partnership with DXC reflects a shared commitment to preparing students for the future and strengthening Western Australia’s job market,” said Professor David Parry, Dean of IT at Murdoch University.
For many years, DXC has worked alongside the Western Australian state and federal government, as well as local and global businesses to create new and innovative technology solutions that have ultimately benefited the local economy. Creating jobs and skills pathways programs builds on DXC’s commitment to enhance technology capabilities within Western Australia and supports the state’s vision to be a world innovation leader.
