Improving outcomes for injured workers and businesses in New South Wales
Sydney, Australia, October 6, 2022 – DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC) a leading Fortune 500 global technology services company, today announced it has been selected by Insurance and Care NSW (icare) as a claims service provider to deliver claims and injury management services related to the Nominal Insurer Workers’ Compensation scheme, subject to final contract execution.
The procurement of claims and injury management services for the NSW scheme was announced by icare in February 2022 with the aim to improve the way claims are managed, providing simpler, better care for injured workers and support for employers.
“This is an exciting time for DXC. We are proud of the role we play in supporting workers during one of the most vulnerable times of their lives – recovering from a workplace injury. icare is committed to improving outcomes for injured workers and businesses in the scheme, and we are delighted at the opportunity to deliver our global claims management expertise that will benefit the people of New South Wales,” said Dr Michael Neary, Industry General Manager, Insurance, DXC Technology Asia Pacific.
“Our dedicated teams aim to help injured workers recover and return to work sooner. We understand that different types of injuries require different levels of care, with specialist care required for long term and mental health injuries. As a result, we personalise services according to each person’s specific needs and leverage our technology capabilities and ecosystem to unlock opportunities for innovation.
“Ultimately, good claims management is all about people – both the people we serve, and the people who work for us. We will combine our talent in claims management with the most innovative thinkers in the industry to deliver the best results for injured workers, businesses and icare,” Neary said.
