DXC Technology Partnership with Shell V-Power Racing and NT Cricket Team Thrives

Shell V-Power Racing Team drivers Anton De Pasquale and Will Davison have swapped their supercars for a bat and ball and taken to the field for what has become an annual cricket game with NT Cricket at DXC Arena. The match highlights these thriving relationships and showcases Darwin as an Australian winter sporting hub.

DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC), who are the premier partner of NT Cricket and a major partner of the Shell V-Power Racing Team, have refreshed their brand identity including a new logo that will be featured on the Shell V-Power Racing Ford Mustang GT supercars which are also running a special Indigenous livery for this weekend’s racing.

This weekend also sees the culmination of a number of milestone activities in Darwin. The Repco Supercars Championship races at Hidden Valley for the Darwin Triple Crown (18-20 June), and the Cricket 365 program, consisting of the TIO Men's Strike League One Day Series and T20 Tournament as well as NT vs CA XI Representative Series, kicks off on Sunday (20 June).

Chairman and CEO of Dick Johnson Racing Ryan Story said: "Having both the Repco Supercars Championship and Cricket 365 Program happening at the same time goes to show what a great place Darwin is for sporting events.

"The Shell V-Power Racing Team absolutely loves travelling to the Top End at this time of year. I'm very proud to see our two wonderful sports come together thanks to our partnerships with DXC Technology, and DXC's new branding looks fantastic not only on our supercars but at DXC Arena.

"I know Anton and Will really enjoyed testing their skills out on the field with the cricketers, but I think they have a few things to learn before they'll be offered a place on any major cricket team," said Story.

President of DXC Technology Asia Pacific, Seelan Nayagam, said the partnership between the three organisations is focused on supporting Northern Territory players' development and cementing Darwin as a destination of choice for cricketers during winter. At the same time, bringing together cricketers with the drivers from the Shell V-Power Racing Team helps showcase the wonderful northern community spirit

"DXC remains committed to helping businesses in the Territory realise the full potential of technology, so we're delighted to be working with NT Cricket and the Shell V-Power Racing Team who share our vision of growth and inclusion.  Together,  we are encouraging greater indigenous participation, driveing the development of innovation and skills, and helping communities build new talent pathways and better futures," said Nayagam.

NT Cricket CEO Joel Morrison said that thanks to the support of DXC Technology, the organization have been able to build their cricket program and bring Australian cricket's high-performance program to the Top End each winter. This has enabled NT Cricket to showcase the very best of what the Territory has to offer, on and off the field, to a global audience.

"On Sunday 20 June, NT Cricket is launching an innovative program called Cricket 365 which will see thirty of Australia's best young cricketers combine with the Territory's best players for ten weeks of elite cricket in the Top End every winter.

"The program is designed to showcase the next generation of Australia's cricketing superstars to talent scouts leading into the summer of cricket, enhance the development of Territory players and create a highly-visible platform to promote cricket and our northern community," said Morrison.
