Yes. In fact, we did so for one of the world's largest retailers, with over 100 years of success on the market, and with more than 5,000 stores in its global network, when it decided to standardize and optimize its store operations processes, and reduce customer waiting times in queues, all with the aim of increasing brand loyalty.

The client wanted a store Digital Twin solution that would help run simulations and test many hypotheses before being field tested in actual stores. Using extensive historical data provided by the client, DXC created a 3D model of the store for the simulation that took into account the average time spent by each customer in store, the average number of customers per unit of time, the amount of goods on the shelves, the number of cashiers and many other criteria. The Digital Twin solution can leverage retail data analytics to provide insight into how to optimally arrange the goods on the store shelves for different purposes (such as keeping the client in store longer or making seasonal products highly visible) and determine the quantity of each product item for stores, depending on their location, for example.
