Please have your DXC email and Universal ID instructions on hand.
You should have received these from your manager. If you haven’t received these details by your first day on the job, contact your manager or your recruiter to request them.
You will also need a list of people to call or contact for help:
- Ask your recruiter or your manager for your manager’s email and phone number.
- Ask for a possible onboarding buddy or team colleague provided by manager/recruiter.
- Need setup support? Contact DXC IT Support by phone.
On your first day at DXC:
Universal ID is the way you securely access tools at DXC including email and systems you need to work. If you haven’t received these details from your manager by your first day on the job, contact your manager or your recruiter.
- Turn on your computer and follow the prompts.
- Open Outlook and the pre-installed Microsoft Teams app. Use search bar to find.
- Once in Teams, DXC Hub (in the left menu) is a great launching point to help you navigate DXC.
- You can add apps to the left navigation menu in Teams. The Who and DXC Bot are additional helpful apps.

- Learn about Microsoft Teams.
Your first week at DXC:
The steps below may not be possible on your first day as it will take time for your new account information to sync with some systems. Please be patient and take the following steps on the days suggested below when the systems will become available to you.
On Day 2 or 3:
- Use the Windows search bar in the lower left of your PC desktop to search for and open “company portal” to install available software.
- Use DXC Hub as a centralized starting point to help you navigate DXC. Log in with Universal ID.
- Join and explore DXC Workplace, our internal social media platform managed by corporate communications. In Workplace, you can connect, collaborate and share information with colleagues globally. Once you have your DXC email and Universal ID established, sign up for an account. Join the DXC IT group for important information related to your technology.
On Day 3 or 4 use UPtime for:
- Information about your PC
- Access to information about IT services (knowledge articles, support, etc.)
- Outage alerts
- IT support (chat begins with EVA – Everyone’s Virtual Assistant)
