DXC Dandelion Program
An award-winning program connecting neurodiverse people with meaningful employment, and helping workplaces fill IT skills gaps.
Neurodivergent individuals, such as those on the autism spectrum, or who have dyslexia or ADHD, often have an extraordinary capacity for visual thinking, accuracy and attention to detail. These are invaluable skills in the IT industry, particularly in areas such as cybersecurity or data analytics.
Established in 2014, the DXC Dandelion Program embraces, supports and expands the skills of neurodivergent individuals to help them secure long-term, fulfilling IT careers.
As a result, DXC's customers and partners are given access to highly skilled team members with strong technical capability, to meet their IT needs. Backed by global research and designed in collaboration with neurodiverse people, the DXC Dandelion Program provides:

After the program concludes, most participating workplaces offer permanent positions to DXC Dandelion participants
of colleagues say the program doesn’t add any additional overhead work

“Having worked with the DXC Dandelion team, we’ve successfully transitioned over 11 individuals to permanent employees, who have brought extraordinary skills and expertise to our organisation. We have found that the training tools we have in place for our employees to support neurodivergent individuals have created an empowering and constructive workplace environment, as well as a culture that allows them to thrive.”

Program impact
“As someone who has always believed in the power of technology to transform lives, I was immediately drawn to the DXC Dandelion mission. I’ve had the privilege of mentoring ten neurodivergent team members seeking to enter the workplace as Software Testers at a federal department. I truly enjoyed working with them. They are not only the most talented and dedicated individuals I ever met, but they also enriched my life with their interests and curiosity. It’s inspiring to experience their growth firsthand and their progress in the workforce journey. I’m excited to see what the future holds for the DXC Dandelion Program.”
