DXC Technology IP Licensed by Microsoft for Microsoft Dynamics 365
Integration of DXC Application modules will help customers improve business and operational efficiencies
SYDNEY, Australia, 30 September 2021 – DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC) today announced that Microsoft has licensed two application modules from DXC that extend the functionality of Microsoft Dynamics 365, ensuring every Dynamics 365 customer worldwide will have the ability to access the enhanced features for supply chain and rebates management.
Microsoft’s decision was based on DXC Technology’s strong enterprise applications capabilities and ability to re-imagine business process with high quality Intellectual Property (IP) solutions for Dynamics 365. This latest licensing follows the provision of DXC’s enterprise credit management applications solutions which were licensed by Microsoft in August 2018.
As one of the largest independent Dynamics 365 systems integrators in the world, DXC has helped over 4,500 active customers complete successful digital transformation projects using the full suite of Microsoft technologies and applications.
“DXC is working closely with Microsoft’s research and development team to ensure the functionality we develop adds value to Dynamics 365 business processes and reduces on custom code. Now every Dynamics 365 customer worldwide will have the ability to access this new functionality as part of the next release,” said Stuart Dickinson, General Manager and Director, DXC practice for Microsoft in ANZ.
The DXC modules licensed by Microsoft include a Landed Cost application which delivers financial and logistical control of imported freight from manufacturer to warehouse and a Rebates Management application which automates complex vendor and customer rebates. By formally integrating these application modules into Dynamics 365, Microsoft will add complex functionality to the solution and help customers improve business and operational efficiencies.
Pat Flynn-Cherenzia, Group Product Manager, Dynamics 365 Supply Chain, Microsoft said, “We greatly value partners like DXC. Working closely with their team on licencing, this new IP demonstrates the success of the Microsoft partner network in action. Together we’re meeting our customers’ needs and expanding the functionality and reach of the Dynamics solution across industry and deep into businesses across the world.
“It is important that we anticipate, understand and respond to customer demand to develop quality, robust IP that meets Microsoft’s high standards of functionality and design. We’re committed to this partnership with Microsoft and encouraged by its success.”
DXC is a 21-year member of Microsoft’s Inner Circle for Microsoft Business Applications and operates in North America, Asia Pacific, the U.K and Ireland, and Europe and the Middle East. It is a Microsoft partner in these regions with over 2,000 Dynamics 365 resources worldwide.
