DXC Technology builds on partnership with Christchurch City Council, Tagata Moana Trust and the Fale Youth Trust
In today’s rapidly changing world, access to technology is no longer a privilege—it’s a necessity. Yet, many of our Māori and Pasifika communities still face significant barriers. It’s vital that we not only recognise this gap, but also take proactive steps to close it.
Not everyone can afford a laptop, and Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) schemes are creating new challenges for many in our communities.
DXC Technology is the driving force behind Digital Futures. The DXC Digital Futures program donates refurbished laptops and provides digital literacy and enablement to learners in need. The program is more than just technology—it’s about equipping our learners with the tools they need to thrive in society and provide pathways into various industries.
With this DXC Digital Futures Program donation, we also acknowledge Danny McNeil from Christchurch City Council, who is actively working to provide organisations with the spaces they need to support our youth as they dive deeper into technology. Danny’s active use of Tūranga library and other sites to bring rangatahi together to build computers in partnership with PB tech really inspires and contributes to their pathways journey.
The collaboration with Tagata Moana Trust and the Fale Youth Trust in Christchurch stands as a powerful example of what we can achieve when our community comes together. This space is a creative showcase of community-driven opportunity.
