DXC cloud and platform solutions power reliable government services for British Columbians

DXC Technology recently inked a sizable, five-year renewal with Canada’s Provincial Government of British Columbia (BC) Office of the CIO (OCIO) to help the Province continue to provide British Columbians with reliable, secure and cost-effective government services. Exemplifying DXC’s leadership in the BC public sector marketplace, the extension is a result of DXC’s focus on secure, reliable service for government and provides support for the Province’s digital transformation initiatives.

The OCIO, a division of the Ministry of Citizens’ Services, is responsible for the IT strategy, policy and standards for the Province, provision of IT infrastructure and shared services, and management of IT capital investment. DXC and its BC-based public sector IT company, ESIT Advanced Solutions Inc. (Advanced Solutions), will deliver managed hosting, mainframe, and container platform services. Other services include servers, network, storage/backup and middleware management; web security/privacy; virtualization; application enablement services; shared database; architecture; service desk; and data center services. DXC and its Advanced Solutions team of local delivery and leadership professionals have been providing services to the OCIO since 2009.
